HAKOM's Annual Meeting with Consumer Protection Associations

The objective of the meeting was to foster improved cooperation with association representatives, exchange information and suggestions, and inform consumers of their rights.

ZAGREB, 27 September 2024 - On Thursday, the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) hosted its traditional annual meeting with consumer protection associations. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen collaboration with association representatives, facilitate the exchange of information and proposals, and provide consumers with details of their rights, as regulated by HAKOM. This year’s meeting focused on the Ordinance on the manner and conditions performing the activities on the use of electronic communications networks , regulatory inspections, new developments in consumer protection in electronic communications, online child protection, information for persons with disabilities, passenger rights in railway transport, and the protection of postal service users.

The following associations participated in the meeting: HUZUP, the Consumer Society of Zagreb, Međimurje Consumer, the Consumer Society of Međimurje, Varaždin Consumer, the Consumer Protection Association of the City of Samobor, Potrošačica - the Society for the Protection of Female Consumers and Consumers of Croatia, the Consumer Protection Association of Bjelovar-Bilogora County, the Consumer Centre Association of Rijeka, the Consumer Protection Centre of Vukovar-Srijem County “Voice of the Consumer”, Dalmatian Consumer, Split Consumer, and the Association for Consumer Education, Protection, and Information of Slavonski Brod.
