In Cooperation with the Croatian Railway Safety Agency, and the Competent Ministry HAKOM organized the Second Round Table with the Stakeholders of the Railway Market Services

Roundtables with the stakeholders on markets under HAKOM’s competence, represent a step forward in the improvement of railway services market regulation, especially the promotion of regulatory predictability through joint dialogue and discussion on the topics of the common interest.
 
ZAGREB, June 8 2015- In cooperation with the Croatian Railway Safety Agency, (ASZ) and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure (MPPI) Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM ), with the aim to encourage the communication among stakeholders in the railway market, organized the second round table, held on June 8 2015.The round table was attended by the representatives of all carriers and infrastructure managers and the representatives of service facilities (ports and freight terminals). The objective of the roundtable was to encourage communication among stakeholders and to discuss a number of common topics, such as the railway market review. Among other things, the appointed body established in the Republic of Croatia was presented; that is the body being a company specialized in testing and certifying all the parts of the railway infrastructure, rail vehicles and track structures. In addition to it an overview of current and future EU legislation in the field of railways was presented too. Accident investigations and the implementation of safety recommendations and the RAIL HOT SPOT (Telecom Operators’ project), were also the issues discussed at the round table.
The vehicles ’manoeuvring service facilities and the procedure for obtaining Railway Safety Certificate were topics discussed as well.
