HAKOM has launched the third public call for conceptual designs for the development of web applications and services. Their selection and implementation aims at speeding up broadband access development in the Republic of Croatia.
 

A special session will be held as part of the ELMAR 2014 International Symposium, which will be focused on the latest scientific and professional achievements in radiofrequency spectrum planning and efficient management.

 

The Administrative Court has confirmed HAKOM’s Decision under which the operator has no grounds to charge the attempt to remove a defect for which it is not proven to be caused by subscriber’s defective installation.

After the previous six tenders for the development of socially-useful applications under the Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband access in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands, HAKOM has launched the seventh public tender for the development of two additional applications.

Amendments to the Ordinance accelerate and simplify measurement procedures using the HAKOMetar, or switching to another operator in fixed communications networks. Modifications also relate to informing consumers about consumption, right to refund the unused amount when changing the operator in a pre-paid service, and the provision of special rate services.


 

The Constitutional Court has rejected HT’s complaint against HAKOM, i.e. against the decision that the incumbent should include the provision for automatic termination of contract in its General Terms and Conditions in the event that a user switches over to an alternative operator, while at the same time using the existing infrastructure. 
 

HAKOM has launched public consultations on the European Commission’s document on shaping the future of Internet governance. The aim of the public consultation, with all stakeholders and the public is to form the point of view of the Republic of Croatia on this important issue.

 

At the fourth and the latest tender for the granting of aid for broadband deployment in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands, HAKOM has granted almost HRK 3 million to the selected tenderer.

Following the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, HAKOM has joined other European national regulators which the European Commission visits on a regular basis for the purpose of preparing the report on the electronic communications sector.
