Bodies for Conformity Assessment

Notified Bodies for Conformity Assessment

A Notified Body is a conformity assessment body that has been designated by the European Commission and EU Member States to carry out conformity assessment procedures for specific areas.

Advantages of Operating as a Notified Body:

  • The requirement for multiple testing of goods is eliminated; therefore, products tested in Croatia do not need to be retested in the EU internal market.
  • Certificates of conformity issued by the Notified Body are recognized across the entire EU territory.
  • Notified Bodies compete with bodies from other Member States and can freely offer their services throughout the internal market.
